John has worked in the financial services industry since 1976, both for lenders and businesses that provide services to lenders. His first position was with BankAmerica Finance which was subsequently acquired by Bank of Ireland, following which he was appointed marketing director. He was one of the management team that grew the business to become a top twenty UK mortgage lender. In 1988 he transferred as marketing director to another Bank of Ireland group company, British Credit Trust. After leaving BCT he subsequently worked for insurance providers to financial services companies. One of his clients was Preferred Mortgages, a non-conforming lender, who he joined as a director in June 2000. He was part of the team that grew the turnover at Preferred by a factor of 12 in five years and was appointed managing director. He has been CEO of Swift since 1 February 2006.

Ian Glover recently joined Swift to lead the marketing effort and deliver the full mix of marketing activities across the group.

Ian brings with him 20 years of marketing management experience and has held a number of senior marketing positions in a variety of industries including financial services. Ian's strategic marketing experience will be crucial in helping Swift build on a record breaking year of success and growth.
